MEA Launches New Digital Ad Campaign Against DPS Bills

At the beginning of March, MEA and AFT Michigan launched a new digital ad in conjunction with an online letter-writing campaign opposing the DPS bills, which attach a litany of anti-union, anti-education attacks to plans addressing the pending financial crisis in DPS.  

Members of both unions, along with non-member parents and other education advocates, are asked to go to www.FixMISchool.com to contact their representative to oppose HBs 5382-5387.  The ads will run for the next three weeks, leading up to the Legislature's spring break starting at the end of session on March 24.

It's important to understand that contacts from constituents matter in terms of our ability to effectively lobby and move legislators to vote our way on bills.  We will keep you updated on these issues as they move forward.
