Office of Retirement Services encourages Power of Attorney Directive
Oct 31, 2016
Retirement planning is most normally seen through a financial lens. However, the Office of Retirement Services (ORS) would like to encourage a deeper kind of planning that will not only benefit you financially, but will increase your peace-of-mind. ORS just posted information on their websites about what you need to know about submitting a Financial Power of Attorney to ORS. They’ve also posted information and links to resources that will help you with what you need to know and to do when considering an Advance Directive.
You can find the information by going to the ORS website (http://www.michigan.gov/orsschools/) clicking on “After Retirement” in the left navigation bar. After that, click on “Power of Attorney and Advance Directives Resources.”
