Subject: Georgia Senate Runoff Elections

Dear Team NEA:

As you know, our fight isn’t over in the state of Georgia. The future of the Senate hangs in the balance and has come down to two runoff elections on January 5. We know that there is a lot of activist energy out there, and we need your help in the coming weeks for our two recommended candidates: Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock.

The campaigns, the state party, and organizations including Fair Fight and the New Georgia Project are already working tirelessly on the ground.  Conversations are happening and we’ll coordinate with these groups and our affiliate to effectively support their work.  It is going to take all hands on deck to help flip these two Senate seats as we work to take back the Senate.  It will not be easy!

There are a few things that you can do right now and I encourage you to share these opportunities.  If you use the links below to volunteer or contribute, NEA will be able to track of our members’ activism.

The first is to make calls to voters for Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock:

Another thing you can do is donate to both candidates’ campaigns:

Finally, we expect that there will be in-person campaign activities happening on the ground in Georgia. What this looks like is being determined and we are working to learn more and evaluate the best ways to match up interest with on the ground needs.  For those who are interested in field opportunities, please take a movement to complete this form and we will follow up around the best opportunities as they become available.

Rest assured that NEA will be “all in” on these races and we appreciate your interest and patience as we work with our affiliate and partners to create an effective plan. We will need your help—so stay tuned.

In solidarity,
