About MEA-Retired: What's New With MEA-Retired?

An Important Message from NEA

NEA members, together, have the power to stand up for strong public schools and every community. Now, as we continue to recover from the pandemic, and the freedom to learn and teach honest and accurate history is under threat, the public leadership of NEA members is essential.

The Virtual Auction allows for all of our membership to continue our passion - especially in this political climate  From grassroots to legislative to elections - and everything in between, the NEA PAC helps support the work that people like you do in communities around this country.   The PAC Fund helps to build the power necessary to win solutions that work for us all.

If you are an elected or appointed leader receiving this email, please forward this to your members within your state or other NEA colleagues who would like to contribute to the NEA PAC.

The help in supporting candidates and issue campaigns by NEA Retired members is invaluable.

When you donate to the NEA PAC Fund:  Who is credited with your donation?

1.  You as an individual member. (Yes, RA Delegate, it counts for your RA donation amount.)
2. Your state active affiliate - it counts for your state's total at the RA. Help your state achieve a win at this year's RA)
3.  Your State Retired Affiliate!  Your state retired affiliate also gets credit.
4.  And, of course, NEA Retired.

Here is what we need:
Donate an item to the NEA Retired
Winter Virtual Auction

Because we are raising PAC funds, we need to lawfully collect in-kind donations through an in-kind donation form. The NEA is required to collect this information for financial and legal compliance purposes.

Have fun thinking of something special to donate - something easy to ship - a gift card, a bacon-of-the-month gift ( e.g. Amazing Clubs - gourmet gifts of the month); a gift basket sent from a company, and so much more!  Find a gift online, and then when the winning bidder is announced, you can purchase and send from the online store.  Or purchase locally, and have them ship it.  Here are more ideas.

Organize a very special, unique gift that reflects your home state!   We love the Tennessee Whiskey sent by Linda McCrary.  And the incredible Chicago treats!   And Tom Wellman's chocolates from Nevada!  There are so many fabulous "eats" from your "neck of the woods!"  Or, in my case, the Arizona desert - Barbara Matteson always puts together unique Arizona flavors accompanied by unique Arizona ironwood carvings.

Those who donate an item will be completely responsible for donation fulfillment. It is important for you to be clear about what that means. You will need to mail your donation to the winner of your item.

All donation items need to be registered here:  https://shorturl.at/cLCpJ
